Beer Boys: Reviews & Ratings

I’ve been coming here monthly since moving to Luzerne County last year. It was Amazing at first: quick prompt and friendly service. Although My most recent visit, I ordered garlic wings got hot wings sent them back and they literally just tossed garlic on top. Waited over 1 hour for wings and mozerlla sticks and still got wrong wings. Ordered two Buttery Nipple shots and a water. Water never came. Wanted another drink had to raise my hand and wave like 10x before dude saw me, and got me a drink. The sweet lady who I always had before is the one who went to check on my food. People who came in after me got served food prior to me. I wasn’t pleased. I got the excuse the dude had lots of tickets covering floor in kitchen and was backed up. No apology for poor service, or messed up orders. I know it isn’t my servers fault about the food. Hence he still got tipped appropriately but seems they have gone down hill, hope they make a comeback.

It’s an over all good place to hangout and drink with friends, but Rufus is very rude. If he doesn’t like you he will talk to and serve everyone around you but ignore you. I never spoke to the guy besides ordering drinks. Once he saw who I came in with he instantly became very rude. I’ve always hear people complaining about this guy. One time I was in line waiting to order drinks and when it came up to me he skipped over me and started taking orders from the people behind me. If I’m sitting at the bar that he’s working behind I have to walk to one of the other bars to get served. Also took notice that the he always makes sure the groups of girls are always being treated good and stands talking to girls all the time ignoring other people trying to get his attention. Over all everyone else serving has always been nice and right on it with the job.

Very nice bar appearance wise. Bar crowd very small for Thursday nite. Doz wings and fries over an hour. Bar keeps were okay ,but not overly friendly. Probably not a return.

Cool little bar with plenty of seating. The outdoor area is a nice addition to the typical bar scene. Seemed to be a popular college hangout.

Welcome to a delightful dive in the heart of Wilkes-Barre, where the beer flows as effortlessly as the camaraderie spills over the bar. Introducing Beer Boys, a vibrant establishment located at 176 N Washington St. Whether you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere to unwind with friends or a lively spot to catch up on the latest game, Beer Boys has carved a niche for both social butterflies and casual patrons alike.

As you step inside, the decor enchants with a cozy bar appearance, beckoning you to settle in and enjoy the experience. The plentiful seating includes an inviting outdoor area that adds a refreshing twist to the typical bar scene. Although the bar crowd might be small on weekdays, this does little to diminish the overall charm of the locale, showing that Beer Boys is a popular hangout for college students and locals alike.

Now, let’s talk about the dishes. Fans of indulgent bites will find solace in their wings, described by many as a must-try. However, feedback suggests that the service can be hit or miss. One customer shared a tale of a mix-up involving garlic and hot wings, leading to a longer wait and a hint of disappointment. Balancing delightful bites with prompt service is key, and while the experience may not always be perfect, the potential for a great meal remains tantalizing.

Beer Boys also boasts a vibrant drink menu, featuring fun shots and a range of beers that pair perfectly with the lively discussions around you. While the service has room for improvement—some reviews mention instances of rudeness from specific staff members—many patrons appreciate the friendly demeanor of the majority, who strive to create a welcoming atmosphere.

In summary, Beer Boys is a place of mixed reviews, but there’s a solid foundation for potential greatness. It's ideal for those looking to savor good food and great company.
